Theme: Records, Transcripts, and Social Media
One thing I enjoy finding in every fandom is fics written entirely in the form of records, archives, letters, articles, social media posts etc. I can't get enough of it! Here's some lovely Star Wars examples! Arranged in timeline order and all but one are marked complete.
A prequels-era fic following the fallout across multiple platforms of Spacebomberguy's latest HoloTube video "For The Republic." This is genuinely such a good fic. It captures the vibes of different platforms really well! I love the range of reactions and inclusion of in-universe discourse and fandom, it really do be like that sometimes. The attention to detail is a delight: Jimin trending through it all, the #.....need him tag, Anakin on splinkedin, the Padme stans??? Wonderful stuff!
An archival record of contract negotiations between Boba Fett and Darth Vader. This is the rec where I think my bureaucratic tendencies come out, I don't even do contracts irl! I just love a good detailed official document in fanfic. Boba is a savvy negotiator and good at picking out potential issues which I love. The back and forth between the two of them is so interesting and revealing. A thoroughly entertaining fic!
Din Djarin gets himself some s/Parenting advice. This one is marked as ongoing. A delight! I love Din's absolute refusal to offer any context. The baffled and escalating concern from the commenters only adds to the entertainment value. The detail that with every question he switches to a new throwaway account. The development as Din and Grogu's relationship evolves is great. A very fun fic!
